The Best Coffee in The World?

!±8± The Best Coffee in The World?

I've let my choices percolate around in my head for a while and have changed my mind about who deserves to be on my, Top 5 Best Coffees In The World list. This came about for a couple of reasons. Mostly I am getting old and my senses are just aren't what they used to be. I know what you are thinking. REALLY, that's why? No, not really, like all classics, I keep improving with age. Just ask my wife. Just kidding, in all seriousness, tastes do change as we age, I know mine have.

I like to try new coffees as the budget can allows and I try to get different beans from different locations, growers and roasters so I can truly be informed about what is going on out in the coffee world and more and more I am looking at the farmers, their locations and the roasters that are buying their beans. I am becoming more aware not only the environment, but the people that work so hard at bringing us this delicious beverage.

Maybe it's my age, but it is becoming increasingly important to myself and my family to try to support the family growers and the American made products that deserve your and my hard earned dollars. It is getting harder and harder to find good quality American products anymore

So the title of, Best Coffee In The World, has a deeper meaning to me than just the taste. In my review, I went after what I consider, at this particular point in my life, to be the five finest coffees in the world. There was another that I really liked but I will save that for another time and topic.

My top five Best Coffee picks are.

Kona Coffee, Koa Plantation Hawaii. Made in the USA. Organic Mind, Body and Soul, Equal Exchange. Jamaican Blue, Jamaican Standard Products Company Queen Ka'ahumanu/Chrissy's Coffee, Coffees of Hawaii Trout Slayer, Hunter Bay. Made (roasted) in Montana

Just a side note, all of the roasters I mentioned above have a ton of different varieties of roasts, flavors, and blends for every discerning coffee lover out there.

There are, of course, a lot of worthy nominees out there and I had to choose my favorites carefully. I still have a couple that are weighing heavy on my mind, but I will write about them in separate articles. I hope this has gotten your mind working and thinking about what is the, finest coffee in the world. What are your choices? What would you put on you list of the 5 best coffees?
